Kids Outing Day @ Mollyland in IOI City Mall - March 2016

2016/6 - We had a RM1000 voucher sponsored by Joey Tan and friends and asked to bring a home to IOI City Resort’s Mollyland. We selected Lagenda home and basically the kids (and some volunteers too) literally went wild as it was their first time to arcade centre and really enjoy the time there. Looking at the kids' face, you know if will stay over if can..it was a tough time getting them out when we want to call it a day! TQ volunteers for helping out.

You know, happiness is all that matters that day.. looking at the volunteers jumping around, I mean, the kids enjoying themselves just make us so happy!

Groceries For Needies - March 2016

2016/5 - For 2016 March grocery for needy families distribution, we delivered to 7 families across Klang - Bkt Tinggi, Teluk Pulai and Port Klang. Additional items such as oat meal and adult diapers is given to the old folks. 

Most of our recipients are cleaners and one has lost her job as employer has hired permanent maid, it is really tough for them to keep up with the expenses. For the hardcore poor family, I asked for their TNB bill and help partial TNB bill for 3 families. TQ to volunteers and sponsors for helping out!

Grocery For Needies - Feb 2016

2016/4 - Due to our CNY event at Sekinchan on the last week of January, the monthly program for Grocery for Needy was push to 13th Feb. As usual, we cover the families from our list of 28, and for this month 9 families were the recipients. No fund was raised as we are using left over funds.

CNY Celebration @Sekinchan - Jan 2016

2016/3 - A new year, a new location..for this Chinese New Year, our team goes out to further rural area - the paddy town of Sekinchan! Its our first trip to this town and we came down for a recee 3 weeks before that. We did the necessary fact finding before setting the date and there rest is ... history! So, here is our photo adventure on that day!

Our event was also attended by Sekinchan YB Ng Suee Lim, who officiate the event for us. We had a short discussion and was told there are about 500 needy families in the whole area.

Revisiting Pusat Warga Emas Klang - Jan 2016

2016/2 - Our second event for the year 2016. For this visit, we decided to provide lunch and have a change of menu instead of the the same old cooking. With my limited cooking skills, I thought its better to let the expert do the cooking! 

Basically the home has sufficient groceries, but was asking a lot of adult diapers (L size) and floor detergent. Electrical and water bill are promptly paid, which is about RM200-300 a month, depending on weather - the hotter it is, the tenants take more bath! 

I believe the old folks had a good time as we spent some time chatting with them. While some are more talkative, some are just sitting there, looking into emptiness of the wall. We also found our star of the home - a rooster!

2016 Back To School 2 with St Barnabas Home - Dec 2015

For 2016 Back To School Program, we targeted for 63 children from 3 homes. The beneficiaries of our BTS2 program this year are the following homes :-

1. St Barnabas Home - 19 children
2. Pusat Kanak Kanak Istimewa Lagenda - 20 children
3. Dr. Azma's Ringan Beban - 23 children
4. Homeless street friend - 1 child

Our objective was to provide 1 pair of uniform, 1 pair of shoes, 2 socks and 1 school bag. Thank you to our sponsors who have contributed school bags, vitamin pills and also the splendid lunch sponsored from Hess Oil & Gas. Many thanks to the volunteers who help to bring the children to Mydin, help them finding the right sizes for the uniform and shoes. We literally cleared almost the new shoes there  till it ran out of sizes!
