CNY#3 Grocery For Needy - March 2018

Groceries For the Needies (Mar2018) - For this project, 20 needy families from SRJKC Pin Hwa Klang were provided, however only 19 families turn up. Each family were given a budget of RM400 to purchase whatever items that they need, and they are literally surprised and happy to hear that. :) Technically it was almost a shopping spree for the families! Additional bag of rice was given on top of the budgeted amount.

I have to thank the school management for providing us the name, and also thank you to UTS Marketing Sdn Bhd for sponsoring the project, and not forgetting Eddie Tiger for linking up the school, and Sanddie Cheong for giving the needy families a memorable event.

CNY#2 Grocery for Needy - Feb 2018

CNY2018 Round 2 - Guess God of Fortune must be working extra hard this CNY to provide blessing to another 20 families. I was requested to provide 20 needy families to bring them for CNY shopping. We managed to get a list of needy families from the SRJKC Chuen Min, Klang  and thanks to the school management, everything was done in no time. We appreciate the school's quick response to arrange and handle the communication to the families as without them, this event is definitely a no-go! 

Upon confirming all logistics, each family were given a slip with their details, which is verified against the list. The parents were asked to be in Giant at 9am for verification before proceed to buy their CNY groceries. Budget was raised to RM400 to each families, and you should see their faces lighten up! :) Meanwhile, while waiting for them at the main entrance, the guards thought I am one of those scratch and win scammers LOL.

Upon completion, they meet us at the counter before payment and was surprised with a box of mandarin and bag of rice. We are very happy to see them happy as its worth more than money can buy. So, special thanks the sponsor - UTS Marketing Sdn Bhd and Sanddie for giving them a memorable CNY!

CNY#1 Grocery for Needy - Feb 2018

Our usual CNY event grocery distribution. Originally to go to another location but due to slow response, we end up where we went last year - Tg Sepat! For this event, we had a lot of sponsorship, and thanks to Shah Alam Buddhist Society, each family take one extra bag of rice home. Additional items such as coconut water, angpows, stationary for the kids as well to spice up the event. We.completed the distribution within 30 minutes... Thank volunteers for helping out as with so much items sponsored, we really need all the help to help the old folks. Thank you to the sponsors for giving the families another memorable Chinese New Year.

CNY Celebrations @SRJK(C) Pei Cheng, Chemor

Our Feb 2017 event bring us to SRJK(C Pei Ching, Chemor. We are supporting out sister NGO, Living Hope in their yearly CNY celebration. From 1M1c end, we provided 5kg rice to all to the needy students. This trip was almost a disaster trip, due to last minute pull out, work commitments and MCs (p/s have not received the MC yet!). We were lucky as manage to assemble a team to attend the event!  Again, many thanks to sponsors who sponsored for the event!

CNY@Tg Sepat - Jan 2017

Our first major event for the year 2017 - the festive event that everyone that look forward to. For this project we provided basic groceries to 95 families, an additional 15 from the normal 80. This would be our third year here in Tg Sepat! :)

TQ to the sponsors and volunteers (& invisible volunteers too!) working in the background - from getting sponsors and turn themselves to be AhLong-A-Day, purchasing of items and logistics - as we could not have done this without your help and support.

For this event, it also benefited the 2 poor families in terms of the ngaku. With the additional income, they will celebrate the CNY 2017 in a happier mood as it was durian runtuh income for them! Again, thank you to sponsors for making this happen! Thank you for making their days a bit brighter - to show that someone else far far away care for them, and in this festive season. Lets be grateful for what we have today.
